Dimsport has released a new serial protocol for the SAIC MG HS Mk1, enabling OBDII read/write on Bosch ME17 / MED17.8.10.1 ECUs using New Genius and The Genius.
For workshops, this is exactly the kind of update that matters: modern coverage, cleaner access, and a workflow that’s built for repeatable jobs as more MG platforms show up in day-to-day servicing.
The new RACE development adds CAN read/write support for SAIC MG applications using Bosch ME17 / MED17.8.10.1 (TC1782), including MG HS Mk1 variants listed in the latest application release notes (e.g., HS Mk1 T-GDi and EHS T-GDi).
