The Challenge
The customer required a power increase and ground speed increase. He was not too concerned about fuel savings, but we made gains in that department as well!
The Solution
Our dealer read out the factory ECU data via a special tool, and advised us on the machines engine specifications as well as the work it was doing and the enviromental conditions the tractor was subjected to. We then modified key parameters such as injection, torque limiter and the EGR system function. After the tune was loaded, the 9770 was tested. This John Deere S680 was a direct heading canola with a 40ft Macdon draper front, and saved 3L per hectare or 10 litres per hour after it was tuned, as well as a 2% ground speed gain as the front was already near max capacity.
