The Challenge

The Case IH Magnum CVT 220 tractor is a formidable workhorse that has earned its place on the farm with its robust performance and versatile capabilities. But for those seeking to extract even more power and efficiency from this agricultural powerhouse, power tuning offers a pathway to unlock its untapped potential.

In this post, we are looking into how tuning the Case Magnum CVT 220 can enhance productivity in the field. We are using this 2016 Case IH Magnum CVT 220 we tuned for a customer as an example. The customer wanted to optimize their agricultural operation. Luckily here at Alt Tune, we have the tools to help all farmers.

The Solution

We had a look at the Magnum CVT 220 and decided power tuning could give the customer what they were looking for. The Magnum CVT 220 has a Bosch EDC17CV41 ECU so we decided to use Alientech KESS3 for the remap.

Power tuning involves modifying the engine’s settings to increase power, torque, and overall performance. This leads to improved fuel efficiency, increased productivity, and better overall operational effectiveness.

Another issue that can cause problems for productivity is the emissions system that is installed in the Magnum CVT 220. To get the most productive tractor and fewer emissions problems we adjusted the emissions system to prevent down time. The resulting power gains will undoubtedly add efficiency and excitement to your agricultural operations and elevate your Case Magnum CVT 220’s capabilities.
