The Solution
We decided that a towing tune would solve the problem for the customer. We used Alientech KESS3 to remap the ECU. Towing tunes are specifically designed to optimize low-end torque, providing the Ranger with the extra pulling power required for heavy loads. The gains improved acceleration and better pulling ability with enhanced torque at lower RPMs, making towing more manageable and efficient.
After we performed the towing tune on our 4WD dyno the customer could feel an increase in power and torque.
